Azienda agricola Perotti Christian
Umbria - Narni (TR)
owned by Christian Perotti
Perotti’s estate is based in Narni, Montoro Vecchio, Umbria. The olives are worked immediately during the day in the organic mill established since 1951, recently moved and upgraded in Strada di Fabbrucciano 58 Narni Scalo (TR) with the latest tecnology available.
In the estate, a castle, today ruin, is located and is from XII sec. All the area extends for a 42 hectares and it is divided by:
12 hectares olive grove
8 hectares arable
22 hectares wood
There are 5 farmhouses, previously occupied by a rural family and there are known as Lubriano, Lubrianello, S.Antonio and Caprereccia. From each of them, it is selected a specific cru of olive oil. In all the property and surface, the agriculture is only practised by organic method since 70’s. The company is one of the pioneer of this method. All the olive trees are more than 4 sec old and tested by C14. No chemical treatment and artificial fertilization is practised. The total olive oil production obtained is then really small, less than 10kg each olive tree. The harvest is completely manual and it is usually between October and middle November. The olive oil obtained is strong flavoured, with hint of fresh herbs and rich of polyphenol (around 500-700 pmm), seven times the quantity requested by the Dop Umbria regulation. In seasons affected by bad weather and plant’s disease, the harvest is not performed in order to guarantee the high quality standards of our products.
