Az. Agr. Masseria Caporelli - the name of the farm cultivated by Mercatante family since 1875.
farm located on the Southeast slopes of "Monte Poro", in the municipalities of San Costantino Calabro Francica, on a hilly plateau at around 350 m above sea level. The approximately 20 hectares are conducted exclusively with organic methods (Reg. 834/07). Eight of hectares are cultivated using intensive methods, with the remainder left by plots of ancient olive trees cv. locals.
Ciciarello, Ottobratica (cv local), Frantoio and Leccino.
The company produces a single cultivar of Ottobratico and a blended Frantoio - Leccino - Ciciarello.
TYPE OF COLLECTION
The olives are hand-picked on the tree with combs, secular plants and Ottobratica Ciciarello with shakers, pressing within the same evening of the collection or at most within 12 hours.
