Ogni barattolo contiene 200g di prodotto. La crema di marroni "La Fenice" è il risultato ultimo di un procedimento di trasformazione del Marrone del Mugello. I marroni vengono pelati talvolta a mano e talvolta attraverso l'ausilio di impianti di pelatura. I marroni pelati vengono bolliti con alloro e finocchio selvatico che ne impreziosisce il sapore e poi passati a mano e/o attraverso l'ausilio di piccoli elettrodomestici presso un laboratorio artigianale di trasformazione di Vicchio del Mugello. La purea di marroni risultante viene cotta assieme a vaniglia e zucchero. "La Fenice" ha sperimentato nel corso di anni in casa con la propria famiglia la ricetta della crema, definendo dosi precise per il raggiungimento del migliore risultato, e primeggiando in Italia per la percentuale (molto alta) di frutto al suo interno.
