Description
The result of high caliber and a fine variety and aroma fragolato is the orange of Sicily and more appreciated in Italy and abroad, thanks to its color, low acidity and its properties. The rind is thin and smooth, medium or thin, yellow orange and flushed on over half of the area. Seedless, very resistant to transport, it is grown mainly in the plain of Catania, where lies the reason for the real peculiarity of this variety: the pigmentation, which depends greatly on the degree of ripening citrus which usually begins in late December to intensify with passing day. Maturation takes place in December and January and potrae until April. What favors this maturation process, and that makes it unique, are the temperature changes due to the appearance of snow on 'Etna. Red Oranges Natural free from pesticide treatments, antimarcio, wax and preservatives. 3 packs of 16, 5Kg. FREE SHIPPING AND DELIVERY THROUGHOUT ITALY IN 48H've ever tasted oranges so?
Description
Native to China, the orange spread outside the Asian continent in the 14th century. In Italy, however, the fruit was already known in the first century, arrived by land to the Romans along the Silk Road and reintroduced to Sicily by the Arabs following the invasion of the island in the 9th century. Today the orange is also widespread in Calabria.
Tarocco is a fine variety, very juicy with red-streaked pulp and usually seedless. They are particularly suitable for juices, but are also excellent to consume at the table and to prevent flu and colds. (Available from December)
Description
Recognizable by the slightly rough and reddish peel (Conferred thanks to the high temperature range between day and night during the ripening period, a condition typical of the microclimate of the Plain of Catania) and by the red pigmentation of the pulp, rich in anthocyanins (They include many varieties of tarocco, moro and sanguinello, with availability from mid-December to mid-May). With a stronger flavor, they are the classic large, sweet and juicy red pulp orange, with thick peel, excellent for fresh consumption or for the preparation of many typical recipes. Rich in vitamin A, B1, B2, mineral salts, fibers and sugars, they are cultivated according to the concept of natural and sustainable agriculture, without the use of chemicals, shipped within 24 hours of harvesting. Vegan and gluten free. Non GMO.
