Since the early years of the '900 Angelo Culcasi he had been one of many Trapanesi engaged in processing salt. His son Albert, then Carmel and Saviour, and finally their children, have lived and worked in the salt pans of Trapani.
For four generations the Culcasi are the Family of Salt; in history up to now, they have driven initiatives related to the Territory to which they are inextricably linked. Their work continues over time while confirming the great respect and full harmony against a valuable natural environment.
The rooms of the SEA RESERVE is grown from Culcasi family and is handmade by seawater then collected with ecological and sustainable methods in the Natural Reserve of Saline of Trapani and Paceco, managed by the WWF.
The Trapani sea salt is produced from 1500 to date is the only European halls boasting the IGP and the Presidio Slow Food Protection of Biodiversity, traditional production knowledge, and to stimulate the adoption of sustainable production practices.
