Azienda Agricola San Gregorio is a small company that wants to tell the tastes, the smells, the history of our land.
We breed a hundred goats there every day donate their milk from which we derive, in our laboratory, many types of cheese, yogurt and soft ice cream that you can taste and buy at our store and in some local markets.
We have received numerous awards at national level:
- Status of 'Product Quality' for four of our products at the National Competition 'In the shadow of the Madonnina', promoted by the National Cheese Tasters in 2016
- Second Prize at the National Exhibition of Products Dairy Products in White Franciacorta (Brescia) in 2015
- First Prize at the National Exhibition of Products Dairy Products in White Franciacorta (Brescia) in 2014
The name 'San Gregorio' is due to the fact that a few hundred meters by the company stands the ancient church dedicated to the saint in which you can see a fresco cycle of the Passion of Christ by Gianfrancesco da Tolmezzo dating from the late fifteenth century . The fresco that tells the Last Supper has an unusual decoration: shrimp. This was indeed a land of crayfish that until a few decades ago were collected in ditches.
The seats shrimp on the table of the Last Supper show us that, perhaps, to progress and innovate have to move like them, back to rediscover and maintain the good that we can derive from the story who has already lived. Tapping into the past to rediscover the taste of this with an eye to the future: this is the secret of our Company.
